Month-End Support

- Assist with month-end close tasks related to cost of goods sold (COGS), including preparing system-generated entries and validating data accuracy.
- Variance analysis and working with plant leadership
- Reconcile month-end inventory balances between system reports and the general ledger, documenting issues and recommended fixes.

- Review inventory purchase transactions for the month and summarize actual vs. standard costs (purchase price variances), organizing variances by major category.
- Support inventory accuracy efforts through cycle count reviews, reconciliation work, and process mapping. (No long-term team management expectations.)
- Prepare summaries of COGS by product line and identify data inconsistencies or trends needing follow-up.

- Produce daily labor reports and weekly overhead spending summaries for the plant teams.
- Develop and refine templates for product line income statements and margin reports to be used by the team after the temporary assignment ends.

- Review significant variances throughout the month and compile root-cause insights and recommended corrective actions.
- Conduct weekly general ledger review to identify unusual transactions and document investigative steps.

- Assist with line-item comparisons of actual costs versus budget and forecast.
- Support mid-cycle forecast updates where timing aligns within the 12-week window. (Not responsible for full annual cycles.)
