Our client, a local Chicago CPA firm, is seeking a Firm Administrator to join their close-knit team. This is a high-impact leadership role with the opportunity to shape the firm’s operations, drive strategic growth, and position the practice for long-term success. The Firm Administrator will play a key role in modernizing processes, implementing innovative technologies, and building the infrastructure needed to support both current and future expansion.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily firm operations, including billing, workflow, and internal accounting.
  • Manage and organize high volumes of client information during busy seasons.
  • Lead projects to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with leadership on policy, planning, and decision-making.
  • Drive modernization through technology, automation, and quality control.
  • Supervise staff, support clients, and provide stability during peak periods.

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of operational leadership or administrative experience in a professional services firm (CPA, law, or financial services).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Skilled in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and technology adoption.
  • Strong project management ability with experience optimizing systems and billing processes.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills; able to build relationships and support leadership.
