Director of Finance and Business
Our client is an organization in the Rockford area that’s looking for a Director of Finance & Business. Our client is looking for someone with 6+ years of experience, organized, and has excellent communication skills. This company offers a collaborative culture, competitive benefits, and tenured team. This position is onsite.
The salary for this position is $85k – $100k.
The Director of Finance & Business will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for managing all funding sources, including managing all financial elements of grants from inception to completion.
- Responsible for maintaining the general ledger system and an appropriate chart of accounts to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
- Prepares monthly financial reports including data related to cash flow, expenditures, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and ledger reconciliations.
- Actively participates in preparing all program budgets and an overall annual budget.
- Provides periodic budget forecasts and spending variance analyses for use by other directors and senior leadership.
- Responsible for cash management and related treasury functions.
- Responsible for a broad set of compliance tasks related to state and federal grants, payroll, and other governmental requirements.
The Director of Finance & Business will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- 6+ years of financial management experience, preferably in an educational or public sector.
- Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Significant knowledge/experience in accounting/financial software and financial systems.
- CPA certificate and/or Chief School Business Official endorsement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
