The salary for this position is $120k – $180k.
The Director of Accounting will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for operation and oversight of general ledger financial accounting functions across multiple ERP systems, ensuring timely and accurate monthly account reconciliations.
- Timely monthly financial close and partnership with finance leadership to deliver timely, complete, and accurate trial balances in accordance with GAAP.
- Monitor and develop a process of analytics to explain monthly fluctuations in trial balances, comparative to budget, (re)forecast, prior year, and trends.
- Oversee and maintain proper system of internal controls over the financial reporting process.
- Lead research and interpretation of GAAP and other authoritative guidance. Monitor changes in GAAP, develop new accounting policies, and recommend actions as needed.
- Plan, organize and partner with finance leadership to coordinate the year-end close process and annual audit, with objective of no control deficiencies or accounting adjustments.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Director of Accounting will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 6+ years of related experience (2+ years manufacturing/distribution experience).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, specifically consolidations and foreign currency translation.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation modules, such as, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, S2K, etc.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
- CPA, CMA, or other appropriate certification preferred.
- Previous work experience in accounting/finance in a multi-unit domestic and foreign company preferred.
