Compensation:
- $150K–$210K base salary + 20% bonus

Work Arrangements & Location:
- Hybrid in Chicago, IL
- Currently 3 days/week in office (flexibility depending on business needs)
Responsibilities:
- Partner with operations to identify and drive process improvements, resolve challenges, and provide financial insights to support decision-making
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process and present results to leadership
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, financial statements, and statutory/management reporting
- Serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert for the finance function
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team while supporting a larger operational group
- Manage balance sheet reviews, audits, and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and IFRS
- Drive transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation and AI strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA strongly preferred
- 8–10+ years of experience with a strong technical accounting foundation
- Public accounting background with some industry experience (open to directly from public)
- Exposure to the financial services industry required
- Proven leadership skills with ability to mentor and elevate a team
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX; IFRS knowledge a plus
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and a continuous improvement mindset
