Our client is an organization in the Hennepin County area who’s looking for a Cost/Operations Analyst. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail. The salary for this position is $80K – $100K.

 

The Cost/Operations Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and analyze cost records, including standard costs, actual costs, and variances.
  • Prepare cost reports and financial analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Prepare manufacturing performance reports and key production metrics.
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances, identifying drivers and partnering with operations to resolve issues.
  • Support monthly close by validating production data, reviewing variances, and preparing related journal entries.
  • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes by providing cost-related insights.
  • Maintain internal controls over cost accounting processes to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Perform other duties & projects as needed.

 

The Cost/Operations Analyst will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, a manufacturing environment as an accountant, or supply chain finance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects quickly and accurately.
  • Ownership mindset and drive; motivated self-starter
