Cost/Operations Analyst
Our client is an organization in the Hennepin County area who’s looking for a Cost/Operations Analyst. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail. The salary for this position is $80K – $100K.
The Cost/Operations Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and analyze cost records, including standard costs, actual costs, and variances.
- Prepare cost reports and financial analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Prepare manufacturing performance reports and key production metrics.
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances, identifying drivers and partnering with operations to resolve issues.
- Support monthly close by validating production data, reviewing variances, and preparing related journal entries.
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes by providing cost-related insights.
- Maintain internal controls over cost accounting processes to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Perform other duties & projects as needed.
The Cost/Operations Analyst will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, a manufacturing environment as an accountant, or supply chain finance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects quickly and accurately.
- Ownership mindset and drive; motivated self-starter
