Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee County area that’s looking for a Controls Manager. This company is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, who is inquisitive, and an excellent leader. This company provides a collaborative culture, high visibility, and competitive benefits. This position is onsite.
The salary for this job is $100k – $130k.
The Controls Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement controls to align with the new system architecture, mitigate identified risks, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory agencies (e.g., SOX, GAAP).
- Collaborate with departments to embed business and IT controls in system configurations and processes.
- Assist in developing and maintaining process documentation and risk control matrices.
- Monitor control effectiveness post go-live and drive remediation efforts for any identified control gaps or issues.
- Partner with auditors to provide documentation and support the walkthroughs related to system implementation controls.
- Track and report on key project milestones, risks, and compliance metrics related to finance and IT transformation.

The Controls Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years focused on financial controls, audit, or systems implementation.
- Deep understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO), compliance requirements, and finance and IT process design.
- Strong project management skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
