Controller
Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 5+ years of related experience, strong leadership skills and excellent analytical skills.
The salary range for this position is $90k-100k.
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and payroll.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Develop, implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the annual budget and forecasting.
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and policies.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Leadership experience
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
