Controller
Our client is an organization in the Green Bay area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 4+ years of accounting experience, CPA, and has experience in the construction industry.
The salary range for this position is $100k-150k.
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal leadership.
- Calculate monthly revenue recognition for ongoing projects, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Analyze job cost reports and make adjustments to enhance forecasting accuracy for upcoming projects.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including compiling data, preparing supporting materials, and presenting to senior leadership.
- Develop and present quarterly forecasts and ad-hoc financial reports to guide internal decision-making.
- Offer strategic insights and recommendations to leadership based on financial performance and long-term business goals.
- Facilitate weekly leadership meetings by providing financial analysis and helping to identify key business opportunities and risks.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, including financial and IT audits.
- Direct and support the efforts of two team members, while providing dotted-line leadership to three additional staff members.
- Serve as backup for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and continuity of operations.
- Maintain a high level of organization, attention to detail, and initiative in managing financial tasks and team projects.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across departments.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required.
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- Experience in the construction industry preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
