Our client is an organization in the Appleton area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience, motivated, and has excellent leadership skills. This company provides a collaborative team, a great culture, and high visibility. This position is hybrid.

 

The salary for this job is $175k.

 

The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit, develop, and retain a strong finance team with expertise in core accounting functions.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting procedures, ensuring smooth financial closing activities.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices.
  • Partner with the team to enhance management reporting, conduct variance analysis, and optimize budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Assist with strategic financial planning, decision-making, and execution of business initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

The Controller will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA license preferred).
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred, ERP experience (SAP or similar) required.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
