Controller
Our client is an organization in the Waukesha County area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, excellent leadership skills, and is driven. This company provides a collaborative culture, high potential with visibility, and competitive benefits. This position is onsite.
The salary for this job is $120k – $130k.
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead accounting and financial operations, including monthly close processes and daily operations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance reports, internal/external reports, dashboards, etc.
- Create demand for the accounting team through driving succession planning and individual development plans.
- Collaborate on creating financial management policies covering general ledger, cash management, revenue recognition, accounts payable, payroll, and budgeting.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash account management.
- Mentor staff, manage performance reviews, and promote a positive work environment.
- Evaluate and implement accounting software and streamline operational processes.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting and leadership experience.
- Payroll experience required.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail & accuracy.
