Our client is an organization in the Hennepin County area looking for a Assistant Controller. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, organized, and motivated. The salary for this position is $75k – $130k.

 

The Assistant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and manage day-to-day accounting functions: AP, AR, month-end close, reconciliations, and any ad hoc projects.
  • Assist in monthly and year-end closings, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Play a hands-on role in all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the maintenance of internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
  • Assist in coordinating all audit activity.
  • Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Assist in managing investor relations with shareholders and investors.

 

The Assistant Controller will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum of a BA. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
  • 3+ years of experience in a public accounting or corporate accounting position.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated project management, teaming, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
