Analyst
Our client is an organization in the Minneapolis area that’s looking for an Analyst. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and strong critical thinking skills. The salary for this position is $85k – $120k.
The Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in initial investment screens including company overview, industry overview, investment thesis, growth thesis, key risks, and financial performance
- Conduct financial modeling and analysis incorporating various business projections and capital structures
- Assist in the evaluation and due diligence of investment opportunities, including market research and analysis of industry trends, financial modeling, and valuation
- Work with team members in portfolio-company monitoring activities (i.e. quarterly reviews, board calls, follow-on investments)
- Assist in the evaluation and synthesizing of external diligence provider assessments and recommendations
- Preparation of detailed investment materials
- Perform other duties as needed
The Analyst will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Undergraduate degree in relevant field, business, finance, or economics preferred
- 2+ years of related experience preferred, but would also be open to recent graduates
- Superior academic performance
- Excellent quantitative, research, and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Proficiency in financial modeling and with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
