Accounting Manager
Our client is an organization in the Winnebago County area that’s looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, analytical, and who has excellent leadership skills. The salary for this position is $70K – $90K
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead daily operations of the Accounting Department, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to best practices
- Supervise, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability, continuous learning, and high performance
- Own the month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes, including financial reporting and reconciliations
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, and investment accounting systems and processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and financial analysis in partnership with senior leadership
- Drive continuous improvement in workflows, systems, controls, and service delivery to internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare for and support audits, regulatory examinations, and complex or non-routine accounting matters
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of related experience with prior supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly
- High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and sound judgement
- Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and lead through change
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting systems
