Our engineering client in Brookfield is seeking an Accounting Coordinator on a temp to permanent basis. This role offers exposure to multiple accounting functions including payables, receivables, reconciliations, and reporting, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to build or expand their accounting skill set within a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll assistance.
  • Process incoming payments through various methods including electronic transfers, credit cards, and checks.
  • Assist with invoicing and ensure accurate and timely billing across departments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and vendor accounts.
  • Prepare deposits and help maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports and related account analysis.
  • Provide support for audit preparation, including benefits and retirement plan audits.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and accounting procedures.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 0–4 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
