    We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Consultant to provide interim support across core accounting operations and a subscription-based revenue area. This role will assist with month-end close activities, transactional accounting, and process clean-up initiatives while helping improve sustainability and accuracy within financial workflows.
     

    Hybrid: This position is four days on-site and one day remote.
    Duration: 2-4 months
    Pay: $30-40/hour

    Key Responsibilities

    Perform bank reconciliations, sales tax reporting, and respond to internal sales tax inquiries.
    Support travel & expense accounting, month-end close activities, and general accounting operations.
    Review, create, modify, and terminate subscription records and related billing elements.
    Reconcile terminated subscription credits to invoices and research historical transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment.
    Partner with internal teams to identify process improvements and strengthen workflow efficiency.
    Provide ad hoc accounting support as needed across the finance team.

     

    Qualifications

    Staff to Senior Accountant experience with strong understanding of debits and credits.
    Experience with order-to-invoice cycles, reconciliations, and transactional accounting.
    Strong analytical skills with the ability to research discrepancies and resolve issues independently.
    Detail-oriented with strong Excel and organizational skills.
    Ability to work onsite locally in a hybrid environment.

  • Staff Accountant

     

    Our client is seeking a detail oriented Staff Accountant to support the operational and compliance needs of their growing organization. This individual will play a key role in handling accounting functions, assisting with legal documentation, and supporting property transitions across a real estate portfolio. This position offers exposure to both accounting and legal support responsibilities, with the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally within the business.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
    Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
    Resolve invoice discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries
    Generate and distribute customer invoices
    Apply cash receipts and reconcile customer accounts
    Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
    Resolve billing issues and customer payment discrepancies
    Assist with credit memos and adjustments as needed
    Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaid expenses, allocations)
    Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
    Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
    Support financial statement preparation and variance analysis
    Maintain accurate general ledger records in accordance with company policies
    Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation
    Support tax filings, including sales/use tax and other compliance requirements
    Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls
    Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
    Assist with special projects as assigned

     

    Qualifications:

    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Literature, or a related field preferred but not required.
    3–5 years of experience in an accounting-focused role, ideally within a real estate, construction, or multi-entity environment.
    Demonstrated proficiency in legal writing and document interpretation required.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate clearly across teams.
    High level of accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    Proactive mindset with a strong ability to problem-solve independently and collaboratively.
    Flexible and adaptable to change, with a commitment to continuous improvement and team development.
