Our client is an organization in the Waukesha County area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 1+ years of experience, driven, and organized. This company offers internal growth opportunities, flexibility, and a collaborative team. This position is onsite.

 

The salary for this position is $60k – $68k.

 

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide daily/weekly cash updates and monitor liquidity.
  • Create and analyze weekly/monthly reports for timely distribution to stakeholders.
  • Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, maintain reserves, and ensure intercompany balances are accurate.
  • Record payroll entries and maintain an organized journal entry log.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department leaders on forecasts.
  • Prepare audit workpapers and assist with tax reporting and coordination.
  • Handle sales/use tax filings and complete required government surveys and reports.

 

The Staff Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 1+ year of experience in the field or a related area, prior manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and proper accounting procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including strong Excel experience.
  • Experience with an ERP system/software is desirable.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while completing assigned workload on a timely basis.
