Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Tax Analyst. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of related experience, high attention to details and strong analytic skills.

 

The salary for this position is $100k-120k +profit sharing.

 

The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, review, and file monthly sales and use tax returns across states, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage state and local tax compliance, including registrations, filings, and issue resolution
  • Support income tax compliance and provision processes, including coordination of required data and schedules
  • Partner with external accounting firm to provide schedules and assist with year-end tax provisions
  • Review and audit monthly tax filings to ensure clean, accurate, and compliant submissions
  • Act as a business partner and subject matter expert, advising internal teams on tax implications of business activities
  • Collaborate with strategic business units to ensure proper sales tax treatment for new products and services
  • Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and identify risks or opportunities
  • Lead and support special projects and ad hoc tax-related requests across the organization
  • Assist with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities

The Senior Tax Analyst will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • CPA preferred
  • Local and state tax experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
