Senior Accountant
Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, ability to prioritize tasks and strong analytical skills.
The salary range for this role is $85-100k.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting packages
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
- Evaluate and strengthen internal controls
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
The Senior Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adapt as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
