Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for an Accounting Assistant. Our client is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, organized, and able to multitask. This company offers room for professional growth & development, a tenured team, and flexibility. This position is hybrid after training is complete.

 

The salary for this position is $65K – $75K

 

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including hours, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Support audits and perform daily accounting activities using Deltek Vantagepoint and Microsoft Excel.
  • Monitor AP and AR inboxes and process vendor invoices and vouchers.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and perform payroll and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Review expenses and credit card activity and verify against budgets.
  • Process employee expense reports and recurring/automated payments.
  • Maintain reconciliation workbooks, including trial balances and AP/AR and prepaid accounts.
  • Additional ad hoc projects as needed.

 

The Accounting Assistant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • In-house or 3rd-party payroll processing experience required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to resolve time sensitive issues with a high level of precision.
