Our rapidly growing financial services client near Pewaukee is seeking a Transaction Specialist to join the team on a temp to hire basis. This role supports daily transaction processing, account onboarding, and operational activities related to financial services and banking relationships. You’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate execution of financial transactions, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting client deposit and certificate of deposit (CD) operations. Hours/Schedule: 100% on-site with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
Pay: $24-27/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Process daily financial transactions including client/bank transaction posting, reconciliations, ACH and wire transfers while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Support monthly financial operations such as account reconciliations, interest allocation, and client statement preparation.
  • Manage certificate of deposit (CD) and bank account onboarding, maintenance, and administrative documentation with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Monitor and analyze banking and operational data to proactively identify discrepancies, support underwriting activities, and improve processes.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and internal systems to efficiently manage workflows, reporting, and operational tasks.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of financial operations workflows while working independently on routine tasks and collaborating with internal teams on process and technology improvements.

Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in financial operations, banking, accounting, or related transactional environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and controls.
