Senior Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for an Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
The salary range for this position is $75k-90k.
The accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and selected P&L accounts)
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
- Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation
- Assist with AP/AR oversight, including reviewing transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with implementing efficiencies
- Maintain accurate documentation and accounting records
The Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- High detail of attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
