Accounting Manager
Our client is an organization in the Kenosha area that’s looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, analytical, and who has strong interpersonal skills. This company offers a collaborative culture, flexibility, and a tenured team. This position is hybrid.
The salary for this position is $100K – $120K
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements for complex properties and review work prepared by accounting team members.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, clearing of reconciling items, and monitoring of cash flow, distributions, contributions, and critical payments.
- Manage management fee calculations, allocations, and billing processes.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure accurate budgeting data is maintained in accounting systems.
- Ensure accurate lease and management agreement setup, including management fees, support fees, and CAMs.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop property accounting team members, support onboarding, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure accuracy of day-to-day accounting activity (AP, AR, billing, collections, payroll, fixed assets, and general accounting) and support operational compliance.
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of related real estate, property management, or corporate accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and related accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel or database/warehouse management proficiency.
- Experience with Microsoft Office/Teams, AppFolio, RealPage, DocuSign, Adobe, NetSuite, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills with sound judgment and timely decision-making.
