Controller
Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area that’s looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 7+ years of experience, inquisitive, and an excellent leader. This company provides a friendly, collaborative culture, flexibility, and a tenured team. This position is hybrid.
The salary for this job is $90K – $110K.
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end/year-end close, and preparation of accurate financial statements.
- Lead GAAP-compliant financial reporting, including SEC and SOX requirements for publicly traded companies, with strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Maintain robust internal controls and ensure full adherence to SOX compliance standards and audit processes.
- Coordinate and manage external audits.
- Analyze financial data to prepare financial reports, statements, projections, and support budgeting, cost control, and treasury/risk management.
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities, building trust, driving team effectiveness, and upholding excellence, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
- Drive process innovation, identifying opportunities to enhance systems, improve efficiency, and strengthen overall financial operations.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Accounting, Finance or Economics degree required. CPA and MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of related experience in manufacturing/production industries.
- Advanced knowledge of related computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and innovative mindset.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
- Advanced mathematical and reasoning abilities, including statistical analysis.
