Bookkeeper
Our client is an organization in the Dane County area looking for a Bookkeeper. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, organized, and able to multitask. This company offers competitive benefits, a great work/life balance, and flexibility. This position is hybrid.
The salary for this position is $55k – $65k.
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and file basic tax forms, assist with quarterly/annual tax reporting, and support accountants with required documentation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice entry, payment processing, and collections follow-up.
- Maintain organized financial records and assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Generate financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash-flow summaries.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal staff regarding financial inquiries.
The Bookkeeper will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of related experience
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information
- A positive team player able to work with others to achieve results
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills
