Accounting Manager
Our client is a company in the Waukesha County area looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience including construction financials.
The salary range for this position is $100k-120k
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and mentor a small accounting team responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
- Manage the preparation of job cost reports, lien releases, and progress billing documentation.
- Reconcile bank accounts and oversee daily and monthly cash management activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reports.
- Monitor and analyze monthly revenue and expense activity, investigating and reporting on variances as needed.
- Assist in tax preparation and ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements.
- Oversee the implementation, documentation, and monitoring of internal controls.
- Support the development and maintenance of accounting systems, payroll processes, and banking relationships.
- Participate in general administrative functions and provide financial insight to leadership for strategic planning and operational decision-making.
- Prepare and analyze financial data.
- Oversee projections and associated revenue and profit projections.
- Assist partners with special projects.
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Construction financials strongly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, detailed orientated, and a problem solver.
