Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Financial Analyst. Our client is looking for someone with accounting experience, a go-getter, and who is highly detailed oriented. This position offers an empowering culture, growth opportunities and a hybrid work environment.

 

The salary range for this role is $60k-80k.

 

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly financial statements.
  • Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
  • Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliation for all cash accounts.
  • Evaluate complex profit plans, operating records, and financial statements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address financial questions, provide support and improve the financial process.
  • Ad hoc projects and reports as needed.

 

The Financial Analyst will possess the following:

 

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
  • 1+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

COMPANY:   S3 Aerodefense. Growing 20-30% top line revenue. Headcount has gone from 80 to 130 since 2021. Privately held. Aerospace distribution, services and repair.
TITLE:   Financial Analyst
LOCATION:   Glendale
WORK ARRANGEMENT:  Hybrid. Monday-Wednesday is on site. Thursday-Friday is remote.
WHY OPEN:  Primarily maternity leave but an addition to the team. This person will still have plenty to do when Maggie returns from leave. 
HIRING MANAGERS:  Josh Leuck – Director of Finance. Maggie – Payroll Accounting Manager. Trish Washburn is TA person.
TEAM:   Maggie – payroll accounting manager. She is going on maternity leave in November. This person will be helping to cover but will also stay and grow with the team. Emily who we placed. Katie/Kathleen Accounts receivable. Jennifer is a credit analyst and accounts receivable for 3 months. Sherry and Andrea on the AP side.
ROLE SPECIFICS:   Financial statement prep, month-end close, bank recs, budgeting, variance analysis, management report preparation, revenue forecasting, financial modeling. 45 days to close for month-end. Blend of accounting and FP&A work. 

IDEAL PROFILE: 
  • Bachelors in Accounting required
  • Would consider a really strong new grad with substantial internship
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience ideally
  • Seem to prefer public accounting profile but open to industry
  • Culture fit is big. Needs to be a go-getter, not someone who will sit on their phone when they have down time. What else can I learn or research or offer to help with.
  • Even keeled, independent worker, adaptability

COMPENSATION (Incl: KEY BENEFITS):  up to $80k but ideally within $60k-65k + bonus usually around 10%.
Medical, dental, vision. 80-85% of medical premiums, 100% of dental and vision. 15 days of PTO – includes vacation, sick, and personal time.
