VP of Finance
Our client is an organization in the Waukesha County area that’s looking for a VP of Finance. Our client is looking for someone with 8+ years of experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and who is motivated. This company offers a dedicated team, a high visibility, and professional flexibility. This position is onsite.
The salary for this position is $160k – $190k.
The VP of Finance will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job cost accounting.
- Manage union payroll reporting, fringe benefit contributions, and ensure compliance with union requirements.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and labor laws specific to union subcontractors.
- Partner with project managers to provide accurate job cost tracking, project profitability analysis, and financial forecasting.
- Coordinate and assist with annual audits, tax filings, and external financial reviews.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
The VP of Finance will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, CPA or MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; construction or subcontracting is a plus but not required.
- Experience with construction accounting and/or job cost accounting software (e.g., Foundation).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
