Senior Cost Accountant

Our client is a manufacturing organization in the greater Twin Cities area looking for a Senior Cost Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of cost accounting experience, a self-starter, is driven and has a strong attention to detail.

The salary range for this position is $85k-105k.

The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support cost and manage accounting, financial reporting and analysis, month-end financial closing, and audit.
• Develop and maintain standard costs for products or services.
• Participate in month-end close processes including journal entry preparation.
• Perform month end account reconciliations.
• Identify cost-saving initiatives and support the implementation of cost control measures.
• Enhance cost accounting systems and workflows.
• Maintain internal controls.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

The Senior Cost Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required.
• 2+ years of cost accounting experience
• Driven and a self-starter
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
