Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for an AP Specialist. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of experience, independent, and organized. This company offers a hardworking team, collaborative culture, and opportunities for professional growth & development. This position is onsite.

 

The salary for this position is $26 – $29/hr.

 

The AP Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for month end accounts payable closing procedures
  • Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices
  • Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance
  • Pays vendors by tracking discounts, verifying tax IDs, resolving discrepancies, and processing payments
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The AP Specialist will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suites and similar programs
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
