HR and Benefits Specialist
Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for an HR and Benefits Specialist. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, organized, and strong critical thinking skills. This company offers a progressive team, a positive workplace culture, and flexibility. This position is onsite.
The salary for this position is $75k.
The HR and Benefits Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administers daily HR functions, including compensation, leave, employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
- Ensures administration of benefits is handled, which includes medical, dental, flexible spending, health savings account, 401(k), ESOP, etc.
- Maintains federal, state, and company posters’ compliance.
- Evaluates, recommends, and implements process improvements for enhanced efficiencies.
- Responds to state unemployment claims.
- Processes and reports background screen results.
- Handles benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick and courteous resolution.
- Collaborates on the 1095-C and 1095-B reports for ACA reporting.
The HR and Benefits Specialist will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or 3 years in similar career experience.
- Leave compliance and coordination experience is required.
- Benefit administration knowledge and experience is required.
- Approachable and compassionate interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills and proven project management skills.
- Intermediate skills within Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to learn, use, and instruct on HRMS software.
- Subject to approved background check results based upon a contingent offer.
