Our client in the greater Minneapolis area is looking for a Tax Advisor. This client is looking for someone with 3+ years of tax experience, strong communication skills, and is a team player. This company offers work-life balance, growth opportunities, and a hybrid work environment.

 

The salary for this position is $75k-100k.

 

The Tax Advisor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the preparation and review of individual, trust, gift, and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Work closely with tax and planning teams to develop and implement client-focused strategies
  • Explain or assist in explaining complex tax issues and planning opportunities to clients
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual tax projections
  • Coordinate strategic planning for federal and state tax obligations
  • Ensure strong internal controls throughout the tax process
  • Identify and drive improvements to enhance efficiency in tax-related procedures
  • Stay informed on tax laws and legislation, summarizing and communicating key updates
  • Lead and support IRS and state tax audits, including response preparation and documentation
  • Ad hoc projects as needed.

 

The Tax Advisor will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
  • 3+ years of tax and/or accounting experience.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
