Accountant
Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for an Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, detail-oriented and strong analytical skills.
The salary range for this position is $65k-75k.
The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate customer invoices, apply incoming payments, and follow up on past due accounts to support timely collections.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries, reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Calculate and process customer rebates and employee commissions in accordance with company policies.
- Support internal reporting needs and assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects.
- Assist with accounting aspects of smaller construction projects, manage and track fixed assets, and revisit bill of materials as needed.
- Ensure accurate tracking, calculation, and compliance with sales tax requirements across applicable jurisdictions.
- Analyze financial statements to identify revenue and expense trends.
The Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associate’s degree in accounting or closely related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with bookkeeping.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
