Corporate Controller
Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for a Corporate Controller. This company is looking for someone with 7+ years of related experience, strong leadership skills and who has experience in the manufacturing industry. This position offers the opportunity to create and grow your own department!
The salary range for this position is $140k-170k.
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all financial reporting and overseeing all accounting operations with emphasis on internal controls.
- Oversee and support the accounting team and create a trusting and productive environment.
- Manage the financial statement preparation and month-end close process each month.
- Lead financial statement audit and tax return preparation.
- Perform financial risk assessments and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor and implement internal controls to ensure effective operation across the organization.
- Other duties as needed.
The Corporate Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in financial statement preparation, auditing and leadership of an accounting team.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
