100% VIRTUAL? The Corporate policy right now, formally, is 1 day at home, you pick which day. That said, the finance team is much more flexible. If someone really needs to be at home, they’re able to make that happen as long as their work is getting done. Leadership is in the midst of discussing whether they should enhance the formal policy to be 2-3 days but nothing is set yet.
“A” ORDER OR “B” ORDER: A-
COMPANY: Crisis Prevention Institute: “Train the trainer” service program/company. De-escalation tactics around patient/student care, methods/ways to keep them secure and safe, (for instance, how do deal with a violent dementia patient). They go into hospitals and schools and train the people there. 300 employees globally, (90% in the US/North America). Also operations in UK, Ireland, France, Australia and New Zealand. $120M this year which is up 15% over last year. Last year was up 60% over the year before, (part of that was because COVID hit them in a negative way).
PE owned but smaller family PE firm so they have a longer hold strategy. Purchased in 2019, not likely to change control for another 5-7 years. Great group to work for, just a different feel than you typically get with most PE firms.
HIRING MANAGERS: Reporting Assistant Controller, Debbie Kozniewski with heavy exposure to Mike Rodriguez (Corporate Controller). Both are great, big selling points for this person, really sharp, great people to learn from and grow with.
WHY OPEN: Back fill. Person left to go BACK into public accounting.
TEAM: CFO, Director of FP&A (few analysts under this person), Controller (Mike), Assistant Controller (Debbie), Senior Accountant (this position), Senior Tax Accountant, Transactions Manager, (AP, AR, etc.), and two staff accountants.
GROWTH: Huge growth potential. They’re up 15% years year, 60% the year before, PE firm has big plans for them. Hoping/planning to be $250M in the next three years (double in size). This is a great time to get a foot in the door, huge opportunity.

IDEAL PROFILE:
- 2-3 years of experience
- Ideally from public accounting
- Someone that is hungry and energetic. That they can use as bench strength as they continue to grow.
INTERVIEW/PROCESS: Virtual with Mike and Debbie first. If that goes well, then in person to meet a few stakeholders. Final would be with their CFO.
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE: $75k-$85k, 5% bonus
