- Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers, negotiate terms, and communicate purchase orders, changes, and discrepancies as necessary.
- Order Processing: Assist in the creation and processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels, track stock levels, and reorder items as needed to ensure sufficient supply.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and other procurement-related documents.
- Reporting: Generate reports and provide data analysis on purchasing activities and performance metrics.
- Assist in Budgeting: Support the procurement team in budget preparation and monitoring expenses.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to purchasing activities.
- General Support: Provide administrative support to the procurement department as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in a related field is a plus).
- At least three years of administrative office experience and prior purchasing experience ideal.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
