Payroll Associate
Our client is an organization in the Appleton area that is looking for a Payroll Associate. This client is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, detail oriented, and a team player. The salary for this position is $80k – $85k.
The Payroll Associate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the understanding of the payroll system, leveraging data and creating reports.
- Ensure processes and procedures are regularly updated and optimized.
- Identify and lead projects within payroll operations.
- Test system enhancements, updates, and integrations.
- Create reporting tools for audits, compliance tracking, and payroll account reconciliation.
- Participate in the entry, verification, and reconciliation of union and non-union payroll processing.
- Serve as a back-up for payroll processing, time approvals, and wage attachment processing tasks.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed.
The Payroll Associate will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience, some complexity and/or union experience preferred.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Tax regulations.
