Accounting Manager
Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 6+ years of accounting experience, leadership experience, and an interest in technical accounting. The salary for this position is $140k-170k.
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the accounting staff and act as a mentor.
- Recruit and hire accounting and financial staff and conduct performance evaluations.
- Ownership of general ledger and financial analysis process.
- Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports as needed.
- Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparations.
- Support operating business units in the processing of accounting information.
- Partner with key customers to develop solutions for better financial outcomes.
- Assist with tax planning throughout the fiscal year.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
The Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- 3+ years of leadership experience.
- CPA preferred.
- Operate as a team player and help to unify the team.
- Strong organizational, prioritization and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
