We’re assisting our client near Menomonee Falls with adding an interim Accountant to their team for the next 3 months. We are looking for a resource to start immediately. The ideal candidate will possess at least three years of transactional accounting experience and experience with sales & use tax is a plus. Intermediate Excel skills and great attention to detail are also desired. The position is in the office four days a week and one day remote or all in-office if preferred. Full-time hours Monday through Friday. Please apply for immediate consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain accurate records of subscription billing, payments, renewals, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate recognition of subscription and deferred revenue in line with US GAAP.
  • Address internal inquiries related to subscriptions via Service Now and assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local sales/use tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Partner with external tax counsel on relevant sales and use tax matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in month end close activities and reconciliations as needed.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of Accountant level experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Need to be independent and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
