Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for a Staff Accountant. Our client is looking for someone with 1+ years of experience, organized, and detail-oriented. This company offers a collaborative team, professional growth & development opportunities, and flexibility. This position is onsite.

 

The salary for this position is $60K – $70K.

 

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries, including recording daily transactions, adjusting journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable process, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments, monitoring outstanding receivables, and maintaining segregation of duties.
  • Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting according to GAAP.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and assist in identifying trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities as needed.

 

The Staff Accountant will possess the following:

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with Excel
  • Attention to detail and clear communication
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
